Bahrain, a key member of the Gulf Cooperation Council, on Monday announced the issuance of a permanent Golden State. It has been decided to give Golden Residence to the resident foreigners, investors and talented people to encourage them to come and stay in the country. Al-ArabiyaNet quoted the Bahraini Interior Ministry as saying: "The renewal of the Golden Residence Visa will be for an indefinite period. Visa holders will have the right to work and family in Bahrain. It may be recalled that Bahrain had said during October 2021 that a new program would be launched to create fiscal balance and economic growth. Under this, major infrastructure projects were discussed. Explaining the details of the Golden Residence Visa, the Bahraini Ministry of Interior said: "This visa is valid for anyone who has resided in Bahrain for at least 5 years and whose average monthly salary is not less than 2,000 Bahraini dinars." ۔ It should be noted that 2,000 Bahraini dinars are equivalent to 5306 US dollars. The Bahraini Interior Ministry said in a statement that "Golden residency visas can also be issued to foreigners who own immovable property worth a certain amount." This facility will also be extended to retired persons and those who have the God-given ability to meet other conditions and standards. It may be recalled that in 2019, the UAE had introduced a 10-year 'Golden Visa' to attract rich people and highly skilled workers.
