The Chief Justice said, "We will now hold an interim hearing on this and if you convince the court that the text of your affidavit did not create suspicion on the judges of the court, we will also dismiss the case." The Chief Justice remarked, "This affidavit raises questions about this court. This court assures that it is in favor of freedom of expression and decisions have been given in this regard, to which Nasir Zaidi said that there is no doubt that this court has protected freedom of expression. Ansar Abbasi explained that he had reported an affidavit by a chief judge against a former chief justice.

Judicial Assistant Reema Omar appeared in the court for the first time and wanted to give her arguments. The Chief Justice said, "The case is yet to be heard on the charge sheet.
